Stephen Zaken

Stephen Zaken is an Intern at WITA – The International Trade Association. He joined WITA in May 2026. He will be a senior at the  University of Kansas in the fall, where he is a current Research Assistant at the Trade War Lab. Stephen is obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Previously, he was a research intern in the Oral History Department at the National WW2 Museum in New Orleans LA, from May 2025 to August 2025. Where his primary focus was in data collection, archival preservation, and digitalization. At the Trade War Lab, Stephen serves as a member of the Substack team, producing original data briefs on trade news related to the US and heartland communities.

Stephen is from Hudson Valley, New York and based out of Washington, D.C.
