Wondering how the Iran deal, or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), will impact trade in the Middle East and elsewhere? Join YTP and our sanctions panel experts to discuss the underlying policies of the JCPOA, how these policies will play out in practical terms, and how the JCPOA will impact trade in the region. YTP is pleased to have three sanctions policy experts who will discuss their thoughts on the impact of the JCPOA and will answer questions from YTP members about this unprecedented agreement. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be provided! Please note that all remarks will be off-the-record. Eric Lorber Eric B. Lorber is an Adjunct Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, focusing on issues related to economic sanctions and financial security. He is concurrently a senior associate at the Financial Integrity Network, where he advises financial clients on issues related to economic sanctions, anti-money laundering, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining FIN, he was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he advised clients in the areas of international trade regulation, compliance, and anti-corruption, with particular emphasis and experience assisting clients in complying with the economic sanctions and embargo regulations administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Simond de Galbert Simond de Galbert is a visiting fellow with the Europe Program at CSIS. His primary research interests are European and transatlantic security, strategic affairs, and nuclear nonproliferation and sanctions. Prior to joining CSIS, he served for several years as a diplomat in the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where he worked on Middle East nuclear nonproliferation issues, in particular on Iran’s nuclear program, P5+1 negotiations with Iran, and EU sanctions on Iran. He graduated from the French National School for Administration and Sciences Po Paris. Samuel Cutler Samuel Cutler has been actively practicing and writing on sanction issues for a number years. In his previous role as Policy Advisor with Ferrari & Associates, P.C., and Editor-in-Chief of SanctionLaw, a comprehensive sanctions blog and resource, Mr. Cutler analyzed relevant sanctions issues and provided expert guidance on developments regarding sanctions regulations and the underlying policies thereto. Mr. Cutler is an ardent writer and frequent commentator on sanctions issues, mostly recently contributing a piece to the Brooking Institution’s Lawfare Blog.
