According to Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea, the trade exchange between Egypt and South Sudan amounted to about $707,000 in 2020. The most important items of trade exchange between the two countries include vegetables, fruits, sugar, glass and cotton.
Miss Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Ali Al-Mesalhy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, left Cairo for Juba, the capital of South Sudan, to inaugurate the activities of the “Made in Egypt” exhibition. This is supervised by the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, in the presence of a number of South Sudanese government ministers, and Mohamed Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, and Mohamed Kadah, Egypt’s ambassador to South Sudan.
